Good To Know

• Dental kibble can help slow plaque building up, but it does not replace tooth brushing or a check-up. Bad breath, red or bleeding gums, drooling or trouble chewing need a vet's attention.
• Switch foods gradually over about a week - cats are creatures of habit and a sudden change often means an upset stomach or a refused bowl.
• Feed to the guide on the pack and adjust for your cat's weight, age and activity.
• Grain-free is not the same as allergy-free. If you are feeding for a suspected food allergy, plan the diet with your vet.
• Fresh drinking water should always be available, and cats fed mainly on dry food usually benefit from some wet food as well.
• Keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry place and use it within the time stated on the pack once opened.
• Straining in the litter tray, crying or passing little or no urine is an emergency in cats, especially males - see a vet straight away.
