The Dayang Dog House (085) is a moulded plastic kennel with a pitched roof and a proper doorway, set on castors so it can be rolled out of the way - not a wire crate, despite how it has been listed until now.

Key Features

• Solid plastic walls and roof, so the dog gets an enclosed den rather than an open-sided cage.
• Pitched roof with a side vent, and a doorway with a grille panel.
• Castors underneath, which is unusual on a kennel this size and makes cleaning under it straightforward.
• 63.5 cm long, 46 cm wide, 58.5 cm high - sized for small breeds.
• Plastic wipes down and hoses off, which matters more than it sounds for anything a dog sleeps in.

Available in: Dayang also lists the same 085 kennel with a teal roof.

Good To Know

• Do not leave a dog in this outdoors in UAE heat. Shade is not enough - an enclosed space in a UAE summer reaches lethal temperatures within minutes, and dogs shed heat far less efficiently than people do.
• Indoors, put it somewhere the family passes rather than in a spare room. A den only works if the dog can retreat to it and still see what is going on.
• Measure your dog rather than trusting a breed label. It needs to stand without ducking, turn round and lie flat on its side.
• Plastic is chewable. A determined puppy will work on the door edge, so check it and stop that habit early.
• Take the collar off before the dog goes in.
