How To Use

• Lay a Dry-Pad flat in the base section, fit the Aerator mesh over it, then drop the litter section on top.
• Fit the extension onto the litter section and fill with your usual clumping litter.
• Scoop clumps and solids daily.
• Check the Dry-Pad every few days and change it once soiled - Cateco's guide is every three to four days.

Good To Know

• The Dry-Pads are a consumable, so budget for replacements. The Aerator mesh only needs replacing if it is damaged. Both are sold separately.
• Wash the box sooner than the three-to-five-month guide if you can smell anything, if a cat has been unwell, or if more than one cat is using it.
• Use warm soapy water to clean it. Skip bleach, and skip pine or citrus cleaners - the smell puts many cats off the tray.
• The extension adds height at the entry. Check a kitten, an older cat or a cat with stiff joints can still get in and out easily, and take the extension off if not.
• Change litter types gradually. A sudden switch, or a brand new box, can put a cat off - keep the old tray available for a few days alongside the new one.
• One tray per cat plus a spare is the usual guide in a multi-cat home.
• If you are pregnant or your immune system is weakened, ask someone else to clean the box, or wear gloves and wash your hands afterwards.
• Straining in the tray, crying, going outside the tray or a change in the size or number of urine clumps needs a vet - this is an emergency in male cats.
