Why Senior Cats Need Different Food

By 12, most cats are moving less, their joints are stiffer and their kidneys are working harder. Appetite often drops too, so every mouthful has to count. This recipe is built around those changes: EPA and DHA for the joints, adapted phosphorus to ease the load on the kidneys, and a nutrient profile older cats instinctively prefer.

Feeding Guide

As a guide from the pack, a 4kg cat needs about 2½ pouches a day, or 1 pouch plus 31g of Ageing 12+ dry food.
Change over across 7 days: days 1–2 75% old, days 3–4 half and half, days 5–6 75% new, then 100%.
Serve at room temperature. Always provide fresh water.

Please note: senior cats benefit from a vet check every 6 months, including blood and urine tests for kidney function.

Storage

Store unopened pouches in a cool, dry place. Once opened, cover, refrigerate and use within 24 hours.
