Why a Great Dane Needs Its Own Food

Great Danes are among the largest dogs in the world and need a great deal of energy — but their digestive system has limits, and the breed carries one serious risk every owner should know: bloat (gastric dilatation-volvulus), where the stomach fills with gas and can twist. It is a life-threatening emergency, and deep-chested giant breeds are the most vulnerable.

This formula delivers concentrated energy in a smaller volume of food, so a Dane gets what it needs without large, stomach-stretching meals.

Feeding Guide

• Follow the feeding table on the pack.
• Feed two or three smaller meals a day, never one large one.
• No hard exercise for at least an hour before and after eating.
• Change over gradually across 7 days. Always provide fresh water.

Please note: a swollen or tight belly, retching without bringing anything up, restlessness or drooling after a meal can be bloat. It is an emergency — go to a vet immediately, day or night.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place and reseal the bag after each use.
