Royal Canin Giant Puppy is a dry food from the Size Health Nutrition range, for giant breed puppies (expected adult weight over 45 kg) in their first growth phase, from 2 months to around 8 months.

Why Giant Puppies Must Not Grow Too Fast

A giant puppy may multiply its birth weight a hundredfold, and keep growing for up to two years. Pushing that growth — with too much food, too much energy or added calcium — puts serious strain on developing bones and joints, and giant breeds are highly prone to orthopaedic problems as a result.

This formula has an adapted energy content for steady, sustained growth, with a balance of calcium and phosphorus for healthy bone mineralisation.

Feeding Guide

• Follow the feeding table on the pack exactly. Never free-feed a giant-breed puppy.
• Split into three or four meals when young.
• Do not add calcium or other supplements.
• Avoid forced running, jumping and stairs while the skeleton develops.
• Move to Giant Junior at around 8 months. Change over across 7 days. Always provide fresh water.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place and reseal the bag after each use.
