Feeding

  • 2 tablespoons (about 1 oz) per glider daily
  • Add about half a tablespoon of a moist food such as Instant-HPW
  • Pregnant or nursing females can be fed freely
  • Take moist food out after 12 hours and dry food after 24 hours

Good To Know

  • Sugar gliders are notorious for picking favourites and ignoring the rest. If yours eats only the fruit pieces, offer the pellets on their own first
  • Introduce any new food gradually, alongside the diet your pet already eats
  • Gliders are social and nocturnal — diet is only part of it; a single glider in a small cage will not thrive whatever you feed it
  • Once opened, keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry place; refrigerating it keeps the vitamins in condition for longer
  • Always leave fresh, clean drinking water available
  • Small exotics hide illness well. Weight loss, a change in droppings or refusing food warrants an exotics vet, not a change of treat
