The FOFOS Juice & Pineapple Catnip Cat Toy Set is a two-piece set: a plush juice carton and a plush pineapple, both filled with catnip and both sized to be carried around in the mouth and dropped somewhere inconvenient.
Key Features
- Two separate toys in one pack
- Catnip through the filling of both
- Small enough for a cat to pick up and carry
- Crinkle and texture detail on the outer fabric
Getting The Most From The Catnip
- Catnip does not work on every cat. Roughly one in three has no response to it, and kittens under about six months usually do not react at all
- Put the toy away between sessions. Constant access dulls the response, while a rest of a few hours brings it back
- If your cat ignores catnip, silvervine or valerian is worth trying instead before you write the toy off
Two Is Better Than One
- A second identical toy is worth more than it sounds. Cats lose toys under furniture constantly, and a spare keeps the game going
- In a two-cat house it also removes the argument
Good To Know
- Catnip loses its strength over months. Squeezing the toy releases more, and a toy that no longer works can be refreshed with loose catnip if it has an opening
- This is a toy you use with your cat, not one to leave out. Cats play in short bursts, so two or three five-minute sessions a day beat one long one
- Small cat toys are a swallowing risk for dogs and for children. Pick them up after play
