The Exo Terra Reptile Dome has an extra-long aluminium reflector that extends beyond the face of most bulbs, letting you place heat or light exactly where your terrarium needs it.

Why the Reflector Matters

A bare bulb throws most of its output into the room rather than the enclosure. The aluminium dome catches that and directs it downward, significantly increasing light, UVA and UVB reaching the animal. Because the dome extends past the face of the bulb, it also reduces glare into the room and keeps the beam where you aimed it.

This is the large 21 cm version, rated to 160W — the one to choose for mercury vapour bulbs such as the Solar Glo, and for larger enclosures. For smaller terrariums and bulbs up to 75W, the 15 cm Reptile Dome is the right size.
