Description
The Dymax XC-900 Calcium Reactor is a CO2-driven calcium reactor for reef aquariums: a small flow of CO2 acidifies water inside the reactor to dissolve calcium media and return calcium and alkalinity to the tank.

- ½" barbed inlet; ozone compatible (Dymax specification)
Good To Know
- A calcium reactor needs a CO2 cylinder, regulator and calcium reactor media, which are sold separately.
- Adjust slowly and test calcium, alkalinity and pH over several days after every change.
- Effluent from the reactor is acidic; drip it where there is good flow, such as the sump.
- After fitting, brush soapy water over every joint; bubbles mean a leak that needs re-tightening.
- Keep CO2 cylinders upright, secured and away from heat and direct sun — never leave one in a hot car.
