The EHEIM reeflexUV+e 1500 is a UV clarifier that fits in the return line from your external filter and reduces free-floating germs, parasite larvae and green water in tanks of about 700–1500 litres.

Good To Know

• UV-C light damages eyes and skin — never run the lamp outside its housing; the AUTO-OFF cuts power when the unit is opened
• Fit it after the filter, on the return side, and run it continuously or on a timer
• Replace the UV-C lamp about every 6–12 months; output falls long before the lamp stops lighting
• Turn the steriliser off while dosing bacteria starters or some medications, as UV can break them down
• It clears free-floating algae and germs in the water — it won't touch algae growing on glass or decor
• Use a residual current device (RCD) on aquarium equipment and leave a drip loop in the cable so water can't run into the socket
