Four Paws Magic Coat Good-Bye Tangles Detangler - 12oz

The Four Paws Magic Coat Good-Bye Tangles Detangler is a leave-in detangler. Sprayed onto a tangle it lubricates the hairs so they slide past each other instead of gripping, which is the difference between combing a knot out and pulling it out.

Key Features

• 12oz (355 ml) bottle
• Leave-in formula - no rinsing needed
• Lubricates the hair so a comb slides rather than drags
• Part of the Four Paws Magic Coat range

Using It Properly

• Spray the tangle and leave it for a minute before touching it. Most people spray and comb immediately, which wastes the product
• Work from the outer edge of the tangle inwards, holding the fur at the skin with your free hand
• It makes a tangle workable. It will not dissolve a solid mat
• A mat that is tight against the skin should be clipped out by a groomer or a vet, not cut. The skin lifts into the mat and is very easy to cut through

The Habit That Prevents All This

• Brush the coat out before the bath, not after. Water turns a loose tangle into a solid mat
• Mats form where fur rubs: behind the ears, under the collar and harness, in the armpits. Those four spots weekly saves hours later

Good To Know

• Test any new shampoo, conditioner or spray on a small patch of skin and wait a day before using it all over, particularly on a pet that already has sensitive skin
• Keep shampoo out of the eyes and ears whatever the label says. Tearless means low-sting, not harmless
