Fabotex Dreamaway Boston Water-Repellent Dog Bed Mattress - L / Azzurro

The Fabotex Dreamaway Boston Water-Repellent Dog Bed Mattress is a flat, bolstered mattress bed from the Italian brand Fabotex, covered in water-repellent polyester that shrugs off drool, damp fur and puppy accidents rather than soaking them up.

Key Features

• Water-repellent, scratch-resistant 100% polyester cover — spills sit on the surface instead of soaking through to the filling
• A raised bolster runs around the bed, giving your dog something to rest a head or chin against while the low profile keeps it easy to step into
• Filled with ground polyurethane foam crumb, which gives under weight and springs back rather than flattening into a pancake
• The whole cover unzips and comes off, so you wash the cover instead of trying to launder the entire bed
• Works indoors or out — beside the sofa, on a shaded terrace or in the back of the car
• Two sizes: Medium 100 x 75 x 15 cm and Large 120 x 90 x 16 cm

Choosing The Right Size

• Measure your dog from nose to the base of the tail while it is lying stretched out, then add about 15 cm
• Medium (100 x 75 cm) suits a beagle, cocker spaniel or French bulldog; Large (120 x 90 cm) suits a labrador, golden retriever or similar
• Dogs that sleep sprawled flat rather than curled usually want the next size up

Care

• Unzip and remove the cover, machine wash cool and air dry — check the sewn-in label for the exact temperature before the first wash
• Do not tumble dry the cover; heat can shrink it enough that it no longer fits back over the filling
• Shake and turn the mattress every week or two so the foam crumb redistributes evenly

Available in: Medium (100 x 75 x 15 cm) and Large (120 x 90 x 16 cm), in Anthracite, Grigio, Beige, Brown, Azzurro, Blue Petrolio, Urbain, Camouflage and Pink & Brown

Good To Know

• Water-repellent is not waterproof. The cover resists splashes and short spills, but liquid left sitting will eventually reach the filling
• Not a chew toy. A determined chewer will get into the foam crumb, which is a choking and blockage risk — supervise puppies and replace the bed if the cover is torn
• The 15–16 cm loft is comfort padding, not an orthopaedic memory-foam slab. A dog with diagnosed arthritis or hip dysplasia may need a firmer orthopaedic bed; ask your vet
• Wash a new bed before first use if your dog has sensitive skin, and give it a few days in the room before expecting your dog to settle on it
