JUWEL High-Lite T5 Light Unit - 60 cm - 2 x 24 Watt is a two-tube T5 light unit for JUWEL aquarium hoods, 60 cm wide, taking two 24 watt tubes.

Key Features

• Two tubes, so you can mix the spectrum: A Day tube alongside a Nature tube gives brightness and plant growth together. A Colour tube in the second slot lifts the reds.
• Order it by the hood width: This unit is 60 cm. Tell us which aquarium you have and we will confirm it before dispatch.
• T5 output: Each slot takes a 24 watt T5 tube, which gives more light per watt than the older T8.
• Takes HiFlex reflectors: A reflector clips behind each tube and returns light the inside of the hood would otherwise absorb.

Fitting It And Running It

• Order by the measurement, not by the litres. Tell us which JUWEL aquarium you have and we will confirm it before we dispatch.
• Check what is in the box. On several JUWEL units the power supply is a separate item, and a light unit without its transformer does nothing.
• Six to eight hours a day to begin with, on a timer, building up over weeks. In a Dubai summer run them through the cooler part of the day.

Electrical Safety

• Keep the transformer, the plug and the socket above the water line and outside the cabinet, and leave a drip loop in every cable.
• Unplug it before you put your hands in the tank or work on the hood.

Good To Know

• Ask us whether tubes are included before you order and we will tell you exactly what is in the box for this one.
• Replace the two tubes a week or two apart rather than together, so the tank is not suddenly twice as bright.
• T5 runs hot, and that heat goes into the water. Watch the temperature through the summer.
