It is built for dogs that either burn a great deal of energy or need to get their calories from a smaller volume of food. That covers working and show dogs, pregnant and lactating bitches, dogs recovering from illness or surgery, and fussy eaters who simply will not eat enough of a standard diet to hold condition.

Feeding Guide

Daily amounts by bodyweight. Note that these are lower than the standard adult diets, because the food is more concentrated. Feeding the same volume you would of a standard food will overfeed the dog.

• Pregnant and lactating bitches will need considerably more than the maintenance figures, increasing through the final third of pregnancy and peaking during lactation.
• Split the daily ration across two meals.
• Keep fresh drinking water available at all times.
• When switching from another food, transition gradually over about 7 days.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place and reseal the bag after opening.
