Description
The Dymax RX-122 Professional CO2 Regulator is a dual-gauge CO2 regulator with a solenoid valve, used to control CO2 injection from a refillable cylinder into planted and reef aquariums.
Key Features
- Two gauges show cylinder pressure and working pressure
- Low-heat solenoid valve lets you switch CO2 on and off with a plug-in timer
- Lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminium body
- Hand-tightened to the cylinder — no tools needed
- Needle valve for fine control of the bubble rate
Good To Know
- Check the regulator thread matches your cylinder valve before buying — ask us if you're unsure.
- Plants only use CO2 in light; switch it off at night (a solenoid on a timer does this automatically).
- Start with a low bubble rate and increase slowly over a few days while you watch the fish.
- After fitting, brush soapy water over every joint; bubbles mean a leak that needs re-tightening.
- Fit a check valve between the regulator and the tank so water can never siphon back into it.
- Keep CO2 cylinders upright, secured and away from heat and direct sun — never leave one in a hot car.
