Description
The Dymax Shallow Aquarium 45 x 24 x 18cm is a shallow, rimless 45 x 24 x 18cm aquarium in 5mm low-iron glass, made for creative aquascapes with plants and hardscape rising above the water.
Key Features
- 45 x 24 x 18cm (L × W × H), 5mm glass
- Rimless, high-clarity low-iron glass
- Shallow design: wood, rock and plants can grow above the waterline
- Large surface area for good oxygen exchange
- Easy to maintain and to view from above like a pond
Good To Know
- Many aquarium plants grow happily above water and some flower; mist emersed plants if the room is dry.
- Shallow tanks evaporate quickly — top up often.
- Stand the tank on a level, rigid surface built for the full weight — every litre of water weighs about 1 kg, before substrate and rock.
- Rimless glass has exposed edges — carry the tank by its base with two hands, never by one panel.
- Cycle a new tank before adding fish: give the filter bacteria around 4–6 weeks to establish and test for ammonia and nitrite first.
