RIO sand is the perfect solution for keeping bird cages clean and fresh. This sterilized sand is heated to temperatures of over 1200C to ensure maximum hygiene. Additionally, eucalyptus extract is added to the sand to provide antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and disinfecting properties. RIO sand helps prevent the multiplication of bacteria and parasites on birds’ bodies, such as red mites, feather mites, and lice. The sand also neutralizes unpleasant odours, keeping the cage smelling fresh. The white colour of the sand helps maintain the bird’s natural colouring, while the added pieces of oyster shells serve as a source of calcium and other essential minerals.
