Royal Canin Mini Starter is the Mother & Babydog food from the Size Health Nutrition range, for a small breed mother (adult weight up to 10 kg) in late pregnancy and lactation, and her puppies up to 2 months.

Why One Food for Both

A nursing mother's energy needs rise steeply, and small breeds have little in reserve. Her puppies, meanwhile, need their first solid food. Feeding them the same food simplifies weaning, and the small kibble rehydrates into a porridge that tiny puppies can manage.

Feeding Guide

• Mother: introduce gradually across 7 days in the second half of pregnancy. Let her eat as she needs during lactation.
• Puppies: from the start of weaning, offer kibble soaked in warm water to a porridge, reducing the water as they grow.
• Follow the feeding table on the pack. Always provide fresh water.
• Move puppies onto Mini Puppy at around 2 months.

Please note: very small puppies can become weak quickly if they do not feed. A puppy that is listless, cold or not gaining weight needs a vet immediately.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place and reseal the bag after each use. Discard soaked food not eaten within a few hours.
