ZuPreem Smart Selects is a foundation daily diet for parakeets, budgies and parrotlets, combining whole seeds with fortified nutrition.

Unlike Pure Fun and Sensible Seed, which are enrichment foods capped at 30% of weekly intake, Smart Selects is designed to be fed daily as the foundation of the diet, making up at least 60% of what your bird eats. That is the key difference between the two kinds of product, and it decides which one belongs in the main bowl.

Budgies are among the most selective feeders of any pet bird, and the commonest cause of a poorly budgie is a lifetime of picking millet out of a seed mix. Fortifying the food is how Smart Selects works around that.

  • Feed daily as the foundation of your bird's diet, at 60% or more of total intake.
  • Keep fresh food and water available at all times.
  • Discard uneaten food before each feeding.
  • Budgies hide illness well. A bird sitting fluffed at the bottom of the cage is already unwell and needs a vet.

Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place free of pests and insects.
  • Gently push the air from the bag and reseal after each use.
