Read this before you feed it. Pellets are a supplement to a rabbit's diet, not the diet itself. A rabbit should eat unlimited grass hay every day, and hay ought to make up the large majority of what it eats. Pellets are a measured top-up that covers the vitamins and minerals hay alone may not.

This matters more than almost anything else in rabbit keeping. A rabbit's teeth grow continuously throughout its life and are worn down by the long side-to-side chewing that hay demands; pellets are swallowed too quickly to do that work. A rabbit fed mainly on pellets develops overgrown teeth and a sluggish gut, and both are common, painful and expensive to treat.

Feeding Guide

• Feed approximately 1/4 cup per 2.3 kg of your adult rabbit's bodyweight, daily.
• Provide unlimited fresh grass hay at all times. This is the most important part of the diet.
• Add fresh leafy greens daily.
• Always provide clean, fresh water.
• Introduce any new food gradually. Rabbit guts are easily upset by sudden change.

Please note: a rabbit that stops eating or stops producing droppings is a medical emergency. Gut stasis can become fatal within 24 hours, so contact a vet the same day rather than waiting to see if it settles.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place.
• Reseal the bag after each use.
