ZuPreem VeggieBlend Flavor is a complete daily pellet food built on vegetables rather than fruit, for conures, caiques, African greys, senegals, amazons and eclectus.

It sits between FruitBlend and Natural in the range. Like FruitBlend it is flavoured and coloured to be appealing, so a seed-raised bird will take it. Unlike FruitBlend the plant matter is celery, green beans, carrots, parsley, beets and peas rather than orange, apple, grape and banana. If your bird turns its beak up at the fruit version, or you would simply rather it ate vegetables, this is the same complete nutrition in a different flavour.

Every pellet carries identical nutrition, so there is nothing for the bird to selectively pick out.

Please note: VeggieBlend contains added colours (Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Blue 1). If you prefer a pellet without added colours, the ZuPreem Natural range is the same complete nutrition in a uniform brown pellet.

Feeding Guide

Bird Daily Amount
Cockatiels, quakers, lovebirds, small conures 1/8 to 1/4 cup (20 to 25 g)
Conures, caiques 1/4 to 1/2 cup
African greys, senegals, amazons, eclectus 1/2 cup
Macaws, cockatoos 1/2 to 1 cup
  • Feed daily as the foundation of your bird's diet, at 60% or more of total intake.
  • Keep fresh food and water available at all times.
  • Discard uneaten food before each feeding.
  • Converting from seed: mix a small proportion of pellets into the seed and increase gradually over several weeks. Never starve a bird onto a new food, and weigh it regularly during the switch.

Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place free of pests and insects.
  • Gently push the air from the bag and reseal after each use.
