Dog-Friendly Restaurants and Cafés in Dubai (2026): 16 Places
Where you can eat out with your dog in Dubai in 2026: 16 dog-friendly cafés, pubs and restaurants grouped by area, the four that let dogs inside in the AC, the etiquette venues expect and how to keep your dog safe in the heat.

Dubai has more dog-friendly restaurants and cafés than ever, but almost all of them welcome dogs on an outdoor terrace or in a garden, not inside. Only a handful let dogs sit with you indoors in the air-conditioning, which matters for six months of the year. This guide lists 16 places in Dubai that 2025–26 sources confirm as dog-friendly, grouped by area. It says whether dogs are allowed outdoors only or indoors too, and gives the etiquette that keeps those doors open.
Last checked 27 October 2026. Every venue below was confirmed as dog-friendly by a 2025 or 2026 source and confirmed open on Google Maps on that date. Policies change, so call ahead before you go.

Dog-friendly cafés where dogs can sit indoors
Indoor-friendly places are the ones to know from May to September, when terraces are too hot for a dog at most times of day.
- Lila Molino, Alserkal Avenue (Al Quoz). An all-day Mexican café in Warehouse 18. What's On calls it one of the few places in Dubai that welcomes dogs indoors, with water and treats for them.
- Pawdy Neighbors, Souk Al Manzil (Downtown). A café built around dogs, with air-conditioned dining, a pet spa and puppuccinos. Gulf News and What's On both list it.
- Happy Bark Day, Majan. A dog café and cake studio making dog birthday cakes and treats, with grooming. Gulf News listed it in Business Bay in 2025; its Google Maps listing now shows Madison Residences in Majan, so check the address before you set off.
- Daughter and Dad Coffee, Desert Palm (Warsan 2). A family-owned coffee shop at the Desert Palm equestrian estate. What's On says dogs are welcome inside and out, on a lead.
Downtown, Al Quoz, Dubai Hills and Garhoud
In central Dubai, the Boulevard and the golf-course pubs have the most space for a dog to settle.
- BohoX, The Boulevard (Downtown). An all-day breakfast and brunch spot with an open terrace. What's On lists the terrace as dog-friendly.
- The Duck Hook, Dubai Hills Golf Club. A country-style pub with outdoor tables, a garden and a dedicated dog menu (What's On, April 2026).
- The Irish Village, Al Garhoud. A long-running pub with a shaded garden and lawn. Water bowls are put out, and dogs must stay on a lead (What's On; Gulf News).
The Greens, The Lakes and JLT
The Greens, The Lakes and JLT have the densest cluster of dog-friendly cafés in Dubai, most with terraces facing lakes or gardens.
- Arrows and Sparrows, The Greens. A neighbourhood café whose outdoor terrace welcomes dogs, with water bowls (The National, January 2026; Gulf News).
- Social Company, Zabeel House (The Greens). What's On says dogs are welcomed with treats and fresh water. It doesn't say which areas, so ask where you can sit with a dog. Lah Lah, upstairs in the same hotel, is also described as pet-friendly.
- Reform Social and Grill, The Lakes. A British gastropub with a garden. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area (What's On).
- 1762 Stripped, One JLT. A large outdoor terrace where staff bring water bowls and sometimes treats (The National).
Dubai Marina, JBR and Palm Jumeirah
On the coast, dogs are welcome on restaurant terraces, but the public beaches next to many of them are off-limits to dogs.
- Counter Culture Café, Dubai Marriott Harbour (Dubai Marina). A relaxed café with outdoor seating and drinking stations for dogs on the terrace (The National).
- Bounty Beets, Le Méridien Mina Seyahi. A healthy-eating café with a garden where dogs can sit at your feet, with water provided (What's On).
- Bruno's Biergarten, Mövenpick JBR. A German beer garden on The Walk. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas (What's On). The terrace is fine; JBR beach itself is not.
- The Tap House, Club Vista Mare (Palm Jumeirah). A sea-facing gastropub where dogs are welcome at the outdoor tables (What's On).
- Ella's Eatery, Palm Views East. A marina-view café where dogs are welcome outside, with treats and water (What's On).
A dog-friendly terrace doesn't make the beach dog-friendly
Under Dubai's Local Order No. 11 of 2003 (Article 80), dogs aren't allowed in public parks or on public beaches. A terrace on The Walk or a beach club can welcome your dog while the public sand in front of it can't. Our guides to dog-friendly beaches and pet-friendly parks in Dubai list where dogs can go.
Dog etiquette at Dubai restaurants
Venues decide their own pet policy, and one bad visit can end it. Keep your dog calm, close and on a lead, and the welcome lasts.
- Call ahead and ask for a table where dogs are allowed. Policies change and some apply only at certain times.
- Keep your dog on a lead and beside your chair, never on the seats or tables. A short dog lead or a well-fitting harness is easier at a crowded table than a long retractable one.
- Bring water and a bowl even if the venue offers one. A folding Beco Travel Bowl or an M-PETS foldable water bottle fits in a bag.
- Pack a few treats or a chew to keep your dog settled while you eat. Training treats are small enough to reward quiet behaviour.
- Clean up straight away, with poop bags in your pocket.
- Carry proof of vaccination. Dogs in Dubai must be microchipped, vaccinated against rabies and registered with Dubai Municipality, and some venues ask.
- Leave early if your dog is stressed, barking or reacting to other dogs. Not every dog enjoys a busy brunch.
Eating out with a dog in the Dubai heat
From roughly May to September, outdoor terraces are only safe for dogs early in the morning or after dark. Book an indoor-friendly café instead, or leave your dog at home in the AC.
- Test the ground. Press the back of your hand on the pavement for five seconds. If you can't hold it there, it's too hot for paws.
- Choose shade and fans, and sit away from the hot glass walls of terraces.
- Cool your dog down on the way with a cooling collar scarf, and give it a cooling mat to lie on.
- Know the warning signs: heavy panting, drooling, a bright red tongue, stumbling. Move your dog into the AC and call a vet. Our guide to keeping pets safe in the UAE heat explains what to do.
What about Abu Dhabi?
Abu Dhabi introduced a rule at the end of 2025 that lets restaurants and hotels with a tourism licence choose to welcome cats and dogs, ideally in outdoor or enclosed pet areas (The National, January 2026). It's opt-in, so as in Dubai, check with each venue. Registering cats and dogs on TAMM has been mandatory in Abu Dhabi since 3 February 2026.
What to pack for eating out with your dog
- A short lead and a comfortable harness
- A travel bowl and water
- Treats and chews to keep your dog settled
- Poop bags and a dispenser
- A cooling mat for warm evenings
Dog-friendly restaurants in Dubai: FAQs
Can I take my dog to restaurants in Dubai?
Yes, at restaurants and cafés that choose to allow dogs. Each venue sets its own policy, and most welcome dogs only on an outdoor terrace or in a garden, on a lead. Call ahead to check and to ask for a table where dogs are allowed.
Which cafés in Dubai allow dogs inside?
Only a few. Sources in 2025 and 2026 list Lila Molino in Alserkal Avenue, Pawdy Neighbors in Souk Al Manzil, Happy Bark Day in Majan and Daughter and Dad Coffee at Desert Palm as welcoming dogs indoors. Policies change, so check before you go.
Are dogs allowed on JBR beach or at Dubai parks?
No. Under Dubai's Local Order No. 11 of 2003, dogs aren't allowed in public parks or on public beaches. A dog-friendly terrace on The Walk is fine, but the public beach in front of it isn't. Dubai Islands Beach has a dedicated dog area.
Is it safe to take my dog to an outdoor terrace in summer?
Usually not between about May and September, except early in the morning or late at night. Pavements and terraces get hot enough to burn paws, and dogs overheat quickly. Choose an indoor-friendly café, bring water and watch for heavy panting.
What should I bring when eating out with my dog?
A short lead, a travel bowl and water, a few treats or a chew to keep your dog settled, poop bags, and proof of rabies vaccination and registration in case the venue asks.
