KONG began with Joe Markham looking for something his police dog Fritz couldn't destroy, and a rubber part from an old VW bus that bounced in a way Fritz loved. The hollow red rubber toy that came from it is still the brand's best-known product. The range now covers chew toys, fetch toys, plush and a full line for cats.
