Good To Know

• Hay should make up most of the daily diet — small herbivores need unlimited access to it.
• Store somewhere dry and airy, and don't use hay that smells musty or feels damp.
• Always leave fresh water available.
• A small pet that stops eating or stops passing droppings needs a vet the same day — gut stasis is an emergency.
