What They Handle

• Paws after a walk - the single most useful one here, and the reason to keep a pack by the door
• A dusty or sandy coat, which in this climate is most days
• The back end on a long-coated dog
• Travel, the car, and anywhere a bath is not happening
• Use both sides of each wipe. There is no prize for using two

What Is In Them

• Water, propylene glycol, DMDM hydantoin, PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate, diazolidinyl urea, cocamidopropyl betaine, methylparaben, propylparaben, sodium hydroxide, disodium EDTA, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate
• DMDM hydantoin and diazolidinyl urea are the preservatives. Both work by slowly releasing formaldehyde - standard in wet wipes, entirely legal, and the reason a pack stays usable for months
• The parabens are a second preservative layer. All of this is why they are wipes and not a fresh cloth
• Furrish call the wipes biodegradable. That describes the cloth rather than the whole formulation - bin them, do not compost or flush them
• If your dog has reacted to wipes before, preservatives are the usual cause and a plain damp microfibre cloth costs nothing to try

Wipes Are Not A Bath

• A wipe cleans the surface. It does not reach skin under a thick coat and it does not rinse anything away
• That is fine for daily use and not fine as a replacement for washing a dog that is actually dirty
• Nothing here is medicated, and none of it affects fleas, ticks or mites

Good To Know

• Not for use in the eyes or inside the ear canal - the Furrish ear wipes are the ones for ears
• Avoid broken, raw or infected skin
• Press the closure shut every time or the pack dries out, which happens fast in this heat
• Keep the pack away from a dog that chews. Swallowed wipes cause blockages
• Bin them, never flush them
• Patch test anything new - a small amount on one spot, then leave it a day and check for redness before using it all over
• Grooming products are not treatments. Persistent scratching, bald patches, scabs, a greasy or yeasty-smelling coat, or a smell that comes back within a day of a bath all need a vet rather than another product
