Himalayan Churro Dog Chew - Chicken

Himalayan Churro Dog Chew is the softest chew Himalayan make, and the one to reach for when a rock-hard cheese chew is too much. It is a ridged stick built for a single chew session rather than a week of gnawing, and the grooves are the point: Himalayan say the shape gets between the teeth to scrub as your dog works it, helping hold back plaque and tartar.

Key Features

• Softest Density: Himalayan's easiest chew, aimed at gentle chewers, older dogs and anyone whose dog loses interest in a hard block.
• One Sitting, Not One Week: intended to be finished in a single session, so plan it as a treat rather than a boredom-breaker.
• Ridged For Oral Support: the brand's claim is that the shape scrubs between teeth and reduces plaque and tartar build-up during a chew. Helpful, but not a replacement for brushing or a vet dental check.
• Four Flavours: choose Cheese, Chicken, Bacon or Peanut Butter above.
• Free From: lactose, grain and gluten, and easily digestible.

What Is In Each Flavour

• Cheese: potato starch, cheese, vegetable glycerin, vinegar. Protein 17% min, fat 1% min, fibre 1% max, moisture 12% max, ash 3% max - the highest protein of the four.
• Chicken: potato starch, cheese, vegetable glycerin, dried chicken, chicken powder, vinegar. Protein 11% min, fat 1% min, fibre 1% max, moisture 15% max, ash 3% max.
• Peanut Butter: potato starch, cheese, vegetable glycerin, peanut butter powder, peanuts, vinegar. Protein 8% min, fat 1% min, fibre 1% max, moisture 16% max, ash 2% max.
• Bacon: potato starch, cheese, vegetable glycerin, bacon flavour, bacon pieces, vinegar. Protein 6% min, fat 1% min, fibre 1% max, moisture 15% max, ash 2% max.
• All four are built on the same cheese and potato starch base, so a dog that does well on one will usually do well on the others.

Using It Safely

• Still supervise. Soft does not mean swallow-proof. Stay in the room and take the last short piece away rather than letting it be gulped.
• Not a hard chew substitute for a power chewer. A dog that demolishes this in two minutes is telling you it is the wrong format, not that they need two.
• Peanut Butter contains peanuts - skip that flavour if your dog reacts to them.

Good To Know

• Flavour is a variant on this listing, so check which one is selected before you order - they do not all hold stock at the same time.
• Treats of any kind should stay a small part of the day - around a tenth of the calories is the usual guidance. Take the difference out of meals rather than adding treats on top.
• Store somewhere cool and dry and do not refrigerate. In UAE heat keep it out of the sun and out of a hot car, where cheese chews sweat and soften.
• Himalayan recommend these for dogs over 12 weeks old.
• Fresh water alongside, always.
• Not for human consumption, and wash your hands after handling a chewed treat.
