Description
JBL Solar Reptil Sun T8 is a 15 W fluorescent tube for desert terrariums. It gives off both light and UV, which desert reptiles need to stay active and healthy.
Key Features
- For Desert Reptiles: made for species such as bearded dragons, spiny-tailed lizards and leopard tortoises.
- UV-A And UV-B: JBL list a UV-A share of 36 and a UV-B share of 8 for this tube.
- Daylight Colour: 7,400 K light with a colour rendering index of 98, rated at 500 lm.
- T8 Tube: 438 mm long, for T8 terrarium light fittings. JBL size it for a 60 cm terrarium.
- Long Life: rated for about 10,000 hours.
Size
- 15 W - 438 mm
Good To Know
- Fit it inside the terrarium where you can. Glass and fine mesh hold back much of the UV.
- Give your reptile shady areas to retreat to, away from the tube.
- UV output drops long before the tube stops lighting up, so replace it regularly even if it still looks bright.
- Fluorescent tubes contain mercury. Dispose of old ones at a proper collection point.
