Description
The Dophin Hang On Back filter mounts on the rim of the tank rather than inside it, which frees up swimming space and makes servicing a two-minute job. It combines mechanical and biological filtration in one unit, and the cartridge lifts out whole.
Key Features
- Mechanical and biological filtration in a single hang-on unit.
- One-piece cartridge that lifts out and replaces in seconds.
- Mounts on the tank rim, keeping the inside of the aquarium clear.
- Simple setup with no priming or plumbing.
- Surface agitation at the return, which helps gas exchange.
Setup & Maintenance
Hang the unit on the back rim with the intake reaching well below the water line, and keep the tank topped up so the intake never draws air. When changing the cartridge, keep some of the old media in the chamber for a week or two so the bacterial colony carries over rather than restarting from zero.
Safety
- Disconnect from the mains before servicing.
- Do not run dry.
- Indoor aquarium use only.
