The Marina Betta Kit LED Light is a small submersible LED made for the Marina betta kits, which clips to the back wall of the tank and lights the fish from behind the decorative background.

Using It

• Give the tank a regular day and night. Around 8 hours of light a day, at the same time each day, is what fish are built for
• Turn it off at night. Fish need darkness to rest, and a light left on around the clock causes stress and grows algae
• If the light is in a child's room and the dark is the problem, use a separate nightlight rather than leaving the aquarium lit
• Unplug anything electrical before putting your hands in the tank

Good To Know

• The previous description recommended leaving this on as a nightlight for children. An aquarium light left on overnight is bad for the fish, so we have taken that out
• A light makes a betta's colour look far better, which is most of the reason to buy one
• More light on a small unfiltered tank means more algae. Keep the photoperiod short
• 6 V and submersible, but it is still an electrical item. Unplug it before putting your hands in the water
