Description
The Front Range Harness is the one Ruffwear built for ordinary days rather than expeditions, and it is the harness most of their range is measured against. Four points of adjustment and a padded chest and belly panel spread the load, and there are two places to clip a leash depending on how the dog walks.
Key Features
- Everyday harness, straightforward to fit and to put on.
- Four points of adjustment for a full range of motion.
- Padded chest and belly panel spreads load for extended wear.
- Two leash attachment points: an aluminium V-ring on the back and reinforced webbing on the chest.
- ID pocket stores dog tags.
- Reflective trim for low-light visibility.
Sizing
Measure around the widest part of the rib cage. If the dog falls between two sizes, take the larger.
| Size | Girth |
|---|---|
| XXS | 33–43 cm (13–17 in) |
| XS | 43–56 cm (17–22 in) |
| S | 56–69 cm (22–27 in) |
| M | 69–81 cm (27–32 in) |
| L/XL | 81–107 cm (32–42 in) |
Fitting
Set the chest strap first, then the girth. You want two fingers to slide flat under every strap. A harness loose enough to rotate is loose enough to back out of.
Good To Know
- The front attachment is for dogs that pull; it turns them rather than letting them lean into the harness.
- The pocket holds tags flat against the harness, which is what stops them jingling.
- A second Front Range listing carries a different set of colourways.
