Description
Sera Phosvec Granulat is a filter granule that takes phosphate out of aquarium water and holds on to it, for freshwater and marine tanks.
Key Features
- Removes Phosphate For Good: the phosphate stays bound in the granules and does not dissolve back into the water.
- Fights Algae At The Source: plants need only a little phosphate. The excess, from fish food and waste, is what feeds algae.
- Long-Lasting: works for up to three months, depending on the size of the tank and how much phosphate there is.
- Freshwater And Marine: for use in the filter of either kind of aquarium.
Size
- 500 g - Sera rate this pack for removing up to 12,500 mg of phosphate.
Good To Know
- Place it where the water flows through it, in a filter bag or a media compartment of the filter.
- Rinse the granules before use to wash off dust.
- Test the phosphate level every week or two. When it starts to rise again, the granules are full and need replacing.
- It treats the result, not the cause. Feeding less and changing water regularly keep phosphate down in the first place.
