Description
The Wacool HO T5 UVB Lighting Combo Kit is a high-output T5 UVB light fitting for reptile terrariums, sold as a kit with a Tropical UVB 5.0 or a Desert UVB 10.0 tube.
Key Features
- High Output T5: a slim HO T5 fitting that gives an even spread of UVB along the length of the tank.
- Tropical UVB 5.0: the lower-output tube, for forest and shade-dwelling species.
- Desert UVB 10.0: the higher-output tube, for sun-loving desert species such as bearded dragons and uromastyx.
- Complete Kit: fitting and tube together, ready to mount.
Models We Hold
- Tropical UVB 5.0, 24 W - fitting 57.5 x 5.8 x 4.2 cm
- Desert UVB 10.0, 39 W - fitting 87.5 x 5.8 x 4.2 cm
- Desert UVB 10.0, 54 W - fitting 117.5 x 5.8 x 4.2 cm
Good To Know
- Match the fitting length to your terrarium. It should cover about half to two-thirds of the tank length.
- Give the basking reptile a shaded area too, so it can move out of the UVB when it wants.
- UVB output fades long before the tube stops glowing. Most keepers replace T5 tubes about once a year.
- Glass and most plastics block UVB, so the light must shine through mesh or directly into the enclosure.
- Put it on a timer for a steady day and night cycle.
