Description
Zolux Metal Hay Rack with Fruit Skewer for Cages is a coated wire hay rack that hooks onto the cage bars, with a skewer rod on one side for fresh food.
Key Features
- Two hooks at the top drop over the bars, so nothing has to be screwed or tied on
- Spaced uprights let an animal pull hay through a strand at a time instead of dragging the lot out
- Skewer rod on the side takes a slice of apple or a piece of vegetable, which Zolux prints on the pack as a feature
- Coated wire in grey, wipe-clean and nothing absorbent to hold smells
Good To Know
- Hay is the bulk of the diet for a rabbit or a guinea pig, not a treat. Whatever holds it wants refilling every day and should never be left empty overnight.
- Check it after a humid night. Hay that sits damp in a UAE room goes musty quickly, and a rabbit will eat mouldy hay before it will go hungry.
- Take the fresh food off the skewer the same day. Fruit left on a spike in a warm room draws flies long before the animal gets round to it.
- Hang it where droppings cannot fall into it from a shelf above. Soiled hay is refused hay.
