Zolux Hanging Fruit Skewer for Bird Cages, Medium - 25.5 cm

Zolux Hanging Fruit Skewer for Bird Cages is a metal skewer that hangs inside a bird cage so fruit and greens can be fed off the floor.

Key Features

• Hangs from the cage roof or a bar on the quick-link at the top
• Fruit, vegetables or a corn cob push onto the rod and are held by the screw-on disc at the bottom
• Keeps fresh food off the cage floor, where it is trodden in and fouled
• All metal, so a parrot beak cannot chew through it
• Medium size, 25.5 cm long

Good To Know

• Take fresh food out after a few hours. Fruit and greens sour fast in this climate, and sour food in a cage is a bigger risk than a missed feed.
• Introduce new fruit beside a food the bird already eats. Most birds refuse anything unfamiliar for days before trying it.
• Never offer avocado, and take the pips out of apples and pears. Avocado and the cyanide in those pips are both poisonous to birds.
• Wash greens before they go on the skewer. Pesticide residue matters far more to a 40 g bird than to you.
