BackBack

The Dymax BioSphere is a highly porous biological filter media with added prebiotics, designed to remove ammonia and nitrite and reduce nitrate in freshwater, marine and reef aquariums.

Key Features

  • Highly porous spheres house beneficial bacteria
  • Dymax adds prebiotics to help cycle new tanks
  • Suitable for freshwater, marine and reef aquariums
  • 1-litre bag

Good To Know

  • Nitrate is only partly reduced by filter media; regular water changes remain the main way to keep it low.
  • Rinse biological media in old tank water, never under the tap — chlorinated water kills the bacteria that protect your fish.
  • Never replace all your filter media at once; change a portion at a time so the bacteria colony survives.
  • Cycle a new tank before adding fish: give the filter bacteria around 4–6 weeks to establish and test for ammonia and nitrite first.
