Description
Indian Stones Aquarium Sand is a fine-grained aquarium substrate sold loose in a 25 kg bag, in black or a sparkling white known as sugar sand.
Key Features
- Fine Grain: a much finer grain than gravel, giving a smooth, even floor to the tank.
- Two Colours: deep black, which makes bright fish stand out, or a glittering white sugar sand for a light, beach-like look.
- Bulk Bag: 25 kg covers the floor of a large aquarium or several smaller tanks.
- Gentle On Bottom Feeders: suits fish that sift or dig in the bottom, such as corydoras and many loaches.
Colours We Hold
- Black - black sand
- White - white sugar sand
Good To Know
- This is a 25 kg bag. It is heavy, so lift it with care and scoop the sand into the tank in stages.
- Rinse the sand in a bucket, stirring it, until the water runs clear. Fine sand clouds the water if it goes in unrinsed.
- Keep the sand away from the filter intake, and set the gravel vacuum just above the surface so it does not suck the sand up.
- Stir the sand gently now and then during cleaning so no stale pockets build up underneath.
