Description
JBL NitratEx is a filter resin that pulls nitrate out of freshwater aquarium water and tap water. High nitrate feeds algae and stresses fish.
Key Features
- Fast Acting: an ion exchange resin that swaps nitrate for chloride, with no waiting period.
- High Capacity: JBL rate the 250 ml pack for about 9,000 mg of nitrate.
- Reusable: when it is used up, it can be recharged with ordinary table salt and used again.
- Ready To Use: comes with a net bag and clip, for filters on tanks of about 200 l.
Size
- 250 ml - about 170 g of resin
Good To Know
- For freshwater only - not for marine tanks.
- Place it high in the filter so it is easy to take out for recharging.
- Test nitrate regularly. When it starts to rise, recharge the resin with salt as described on the pack.
- Partial water changes and careful feeding remain the best way to keep nitrate low.
