The KW Zone Dophin Spiral Core Heater is a submersible thermostatic aquarium heater for freshwater and marine tanks, in six wattages from 25 W to 300 W.

Choosing A Size
- A common guide is about 1 W per litre in a room kept at normal temperature.
- In air-conditioned UAE homes the room is often warm enough that small tanks need little heating — a thermometer tells you.

Good To Know
- Unplug the heater and let it cool for 15 minutes before taking it out of the water — a hot heater can crack.
- Let a new heater sit in the tank for 30 minutes before switching on so the glass reaches water temperature.
- Mount it where water flows past, away from gravel.
- Leave a drip loop in every power cable, so water running down the cord drips off before it reaches the socket.
- Plug aquarium equipment into a socket protected by an RCD (earth-leakage breaker).
