M-PETS Snake Cocoon Basket, Deep-Sided Pet Bed

M-PETS Snake Cocoon Basket is a deep round basket in mottled grey faux fur, with walls high enough to hide a curled-up cat almost completely.

Key Features

• 40 x 40 cm across and 28 cm tall, measured on the outside.
• The walls stand upright and deep rather than rolling flat, which is what makes this a cocoon and not a cushion.
• Grey and white synthetic fur, soft on the inside face and the outer wall alike.
• Carries the M-DREAMZZZ patch, which is the bedding line inside M-PETS.
• One size only. There is no small or large version of the cocoon.

Good To Know

• Every figure a bed is sold on is the outside of it. The padded wall eats several centimetres a side, so measure the animal curled up the way it actually sleeps and then allow for the wall.
• High walls suit a nervous sleeper and punish a stiff one. An arthritic cat or an elderly small dog has to climb in, and a few of them decide not to bother.
• There is no wash code on it and no zip in the photographs, so treat it as a sponge-and-air bed. A washable fleece folded into the bottom is what makes one of these last.
• Synthetic fur holds hair like nothing else. A rubber glove or a pumice stone lifts it out far faster than a vacuum will.
• A bed is a place before it is an object. The one in the quiet corner near you gets used; the same bed in the hallway does not.
