M-PETS Snake Suede Cat Den, Hooded Bed with a Carry Handle

M-PETS Snake Suede Cat Den is a hood rather than a basket. The suede shell arches over a fur-lined hollow with one opening at the front and a webbing handle sewn across the top.

Key Features

• 39 x 37 cm on the floor and 35 cm tall, so it takes the footprint of a basket and the height of a small box.
• One arched opening at the front. Everything else is closed in, which is the entire point of a den.
• Lined in the same textured grey and white fur used across the Snake range, with a brown faux-suede shell.
• A flat webbing handle is stitched to the apex, so the whole thing moves from room to room in one hand with the bedding still in it.
• It is a covered den and not an open bed, which suits an animal that hides and does not suit one that likes to watch the room.

Good To Know

• Hooded beds are for hiders. A confident cat that sleeps in the middle of the sofa will walk past this one for months.
• Check the height as well as the floor space. 35 cm on the outside is a good deal less once the padding is accounted for.
• The handle is for carrying the den, not the cat inside it. There is nothing here that fastens and nothing that makes it a carrier.
• There is no wash code on it and no zip in the photographs, so treat it as a sponge-and-air bed. A washable fleece folded into the bottom is what makes one of these last.
• Anything with a roof on it gets warm. In an unconditioned room in summer expect this to be ignored, and expect it to come back into use in December.
