Fat is held at 12% against 18% in the Athletic recipe, because a heavy-framed dog carrying extra weight puts real strain on its joints. Added L-carnitine helps the body use fat as fuel rather than storing it.

Feeding Guide

Daily amounts by bodyweight and activity level. A dog getting under an hour of exercise a day needs noticeably less than one getting one to three hours.

• Split the daily ration across two meals. This matters particularly for large, deep-chested breeds.
• Keep fresh drinking water available at all times.
• When switching from another food, transition gradually over about 7 days.

Storage

• Reseal the bag after each use and store in a cool, dry place.
