The mousse texture matters more for a kitten than for any other cat. A kitten coming off its mother's milk has small teeth and no experience of chewing, and a completely smooth mousse is the easiest first solid food to take. It also carries 0.66% whey protein isolate among its milk derivatives, which keeps it close to what the kitten has been drinking.

Feeding Guide

  • Daily amounts depend on the kitten's age and weight. The feeding guide and full analytical constituents are printed on the pack.
  • Feed little and often. A kitten's stomach is small, so several small meals suit it better than one or two large ones.
  • Serve at room temperature. Kittens often refuse food straight from the fridge.
  • Pregnant and nursing queens need increasing amounts through late pregnancy, peaking during lactation.
  • Keep fresh drinking water available at all times.
  • Move to an adult food at around 12 months, transitioning gradually over about 7 days.

Storage

  • Store unopened packs in a cool, dry place.
