Zee Cat Nox Lumen Reflective Cat Harness and Leash Set

The Zee Cat Nox Lumen Cat Harness and Leash Set is Zee Cat's adjustable cat harness and leash in the Nox Lumen colourway, with reflective thread woven through the webbing of both pieces.

Key Features

• Reflective Webbing: woven through the harness and the leash rather than printed on top, so handling and washing do not take it off.
• Adjusts In Four Places: the neck strap runs 15 to 30 cm and the body strap 26 to 41 cm, so the fit is set to your cat rather than to a size chart.
• 4-Point Locking Buckle: Zee Cat's own buckle design, which closes at four points instead of one. It is the part that stops a startled cat backing out of the harness.
• 1.2 m Leash Included: enough length for a cat to investigate a wall or a plant without you losing contact with it.
• Lightweight Hook: a light clip at the leash end, so your cat is not carrying heavy clip hardware around on its back.

Teaching A Cat To Wear It

Almost every failed cat harness fails in the first ten minutes. Put it on indoors, leave it loose, feed your cat while it is on, and take it off before the cat starts working at it. Repeat for a few days before a leash ever gets clipped on, and longer before a door is opened. A cat that has learned the harness means nothing bad will walk in it; a cat whose first experience of it was a pavement will not.

Good To Know

• Cats reverse out of harnesses rather than pulling forward out of them. Check that you cannot slide the body strap back over the shoulders, and re-check after the first wash.
• Never leave a harness on a cat you are not watching. A harness can catch on a handle or a branch and, unlike a collar, it has no breakaway.
• In UAE summer, paving and sand hold heat long after the air has cooled. Walk before sunrise or well after dark, press the back of your hand to the ground for five seconds first, and keep to shade and grass.
• Reflective is not luminous. It sends back light aimed at it, from headlights or a torch, and does nothing on its own in an unlit street. For a cat that is visible by itself you need a light.
