Description
The Aqua Ocean Premium Coral Sand 5kg is a natural sea sand made mainly of calcium carbonate, used as a substrate that helps buffer pH in marine and reef aquariums.
Key Features
- 100% natural sea sand
- Calcium carbonate helps keep pH stable
- Large surface area for beneficial bacteria
- For marine and reef aquariums, and hard-water freshwater tanks such as African cichlid set-ups
How To Use
- Rinse the sand in a bucket until the water runs mostly clear.
- Spread evenly across the bottom of the tank before adding water and livestock.
Available in: Size 1 (0.3–1mm) and Size 5 (4–6mm)
Good To Know
- Coral sand raises pH and hardness — don't use it in freshwater tanks for soft-water fish or plants.
- Some cloudiness after filling is normal and settles as the filter runs.
