Feeding Wild Birds

• Put out only what gets eaten in a day or two. Seed left standing goes mouldy, and mouldy seed makes birds ill
• Move the feeding spot every few weeks so droppings and husks do not build up in one place
• Clean feeders and tables regularly with hot water, and wash your hands afterwards
• Put fresh water out alongside. In UAE summer that matters more to birds than the food does
• Site the feeder within a few metres of cover, so birds have somewhere to bolt to, but not so close that cats can use it as an ambush point
• Store the bag sealed, cool and dry. Seed attracts pantry moths and weevils once it is opened

Good To Know

• This is a general wild bird mixture. It is not a formulated diet for a pet budgie, cockatiel or parrot, which need their own species feed
• Mixed seed means some of it will be picked out and dropped. A cheaper mix always produces more waste underneath
• Feeding wild birds attracts other things too, including rodents and cats. Keep spillage cleared up
• The two pack sizes here share one SKU, and the 1 kg and 2.5 kg bags carry different packaging designs, so what arrives may not match the first photo
