Description
The Georplast Alfa Round Pet Food Placemat is a round moulded placemat for under a food and water bowl - BPA-free plastic with a raised paw and bone pattern that catches what gets pushed over the edge.
Key Features
- 32.5cm diameter, round
- BPA-free plastic that Georplast rate as pet safe
- Embossed paw and bone pattern with a matte finish
- Wipes clean in seconds
- Works indoors or out
- Three colours: Blue, Grey and White
- Grey and White are in stock; Blue is out of stock
Why A Feeding Mat Earns Its Place
- Cats and dogs both push bowls while they eat. A mat gives the bowl somewhere to sit and catches what goes over the edge
- It makes the mess one thing to pick up and rinse rather than a floor to wipe
- It also marks the feeding spot, which matters more than people expect - animals settle faster at a place they recognise
- Keep food and water bowls away from the litter tray. Cats in particular will eat less if the two are close together
Round Or Rectangular
- The round Alfa at 32.5cm suits a single bowl or a small double bowl - the neater option where space is tight
- The rectangular Beta at 45x35cm takes two bowls side by side with room to spare, and is the one for a dog or a multi-pet household
- Neither is non-slip on its own. Georplast design them to be used with non-slip bowls, which is what actually stops the bowl travelling
Who Makes It
- Georplast s.r.l. is an Italian manufacturer founded in 1970, based at Mezzago just outside Milan
- They injection-mould their own plastic rather than buying it in, and the whole pet range is made in Italy
- Design is done with an Italian studio, which is why the trays and carriers look less utilitarian than most of the category
Good To Know
- Wipe it down daily with the bowls. A feeding mat gets as dirty as the bowl does
- Not a chew toy. Replace it if a dog starts working at the edges
- Colours vary by batch and the photograph is a guide. Pick on size first - the colour is the part that matters least to the cat
