• Stay in the room while your dog works on a chew. Take the last piece away once it is small enough to swallow whole, and keep fresh water down.
• Treats are extra calories. Keep them to roughly a tenth of what your dog eats in a day and take the difference off the main meal.
• Introduce any new treat over a few days. A sudden change can give a dog loose stools even when nothing is wrong with the food.
• Press the pack closed again after each use and keep it somewhere cool and dry. Left open, these dry out and lose the smell that makes a dog want them.
