Little One Mountain Hay For Small Pets is Little One's sun-dried meadow hay for rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus, sold plain or with a herb mixed through it.

Key Features

• Mixed meadow grasses: a blend of grasses rather than a single crop, so there is variety in the pack.

Choosing A Pack

• Plain is the everyday hay and the only version sold in the larger pack.
• Chamomile and dandelion come in the smaller pack only. They are the same hay with the herb mixed through it.
• The herbs are there for flavour and variety, and they do make hay more interesting to a fussy eater. They are not medicine: a pet with a gut problem needs a vet, not a different hay.

Good To Know

• Hay belongs in front of a grass eater all day rather than being rationed, which is why it is sold by the kilo and not by the handful.
• Check it before feeding. Hay should look green-brown, feel dry and smell sweet. Anything musty, damp or dusty goes in the bin.
• Humidity is hay's enemy here. A sealed plastic bin in a cool room keeps it far better than a folded-over bag in a hot store room.
