Schesir Wet Dog Food Cans - 7 x 85 g - Tuna With Peas

Schesir Wet Dog Food Cans - 7 x 85 g is a wet food for small dogs in 85 g cans, with a choice of three recipes.

Key Features

• Three recipes to choose from: Tuna with peas, ocean fish with tuna, or chicken with lamb, selected above.
• 85 g cans, sized for a small dog: A portion at a time with nothing going back in the fridge.
• Two of the three are fish: Which makes this range useful for a dog that reacts to poultry. Schesir states its tuna is from sustainable fishing.
• No added colourings or preservatives: The brand's claim for this range.

Whether This Is A Complete Food Is Not Stated, So We Will Not Claim It

• Schesir does not describe this range as complete and balanced anywhere in its own copy, and we are not going to put words in their mouth.
• That matters, because Schesir does say it elsewhere in those exact terms: on its Taste The World cans and on its Bio range. When a brand states it on one product and not on another, the silence is worth noticing.
• A complementary food is meant to be fed alongside a complete diet rather than as the whole diet. If this turns out to be one and you feed it as a sole diet, a dog is short of things it needs - so this is not a detail to shrug at.
• What we will do rather than guess: ask us and we will photograph the feeding panel on the actual pack before you order, and tell you exactly what it says. If you want a wet food that is definitely a complete meal, the Taste The World and Bio ranges say so on the label and we will point you straight at them.

Wet Food And Water, Which Counts For More Here

• A wet food is mostly water. In this climate that is water going into a dog without the dog having to decide to drink it, and that is a real benefit rather than a marketing one.
• It also means you are buying water by weight, which is the honest reason a tray or a can looks dear per kilogram next to a bag of kibble.

Good To Know

• One thing we cannot confirm from here: whether the box holds six cans or seven. Our own records disagree with each other on it. Ask us before you order and we will physically count one, because we would rather do that than guess at what you are paying for.
• Cover an opened can or tray, refrigerate it, and use it within a day or two. Let it come back to room temperature first, because dogs refuse fridge-cold food and you will think they have gone off it. Do not leave wet food down for hours in a warm room.
• Schesir's claim about this range is that the ingredients are of the same quality as those used for human food. That is a claim about sourcing standards, not an invitation to eat it yourself.
• Ask us for the ingredient list and the analysis and we will photograph them. Most of these do not publish theirs, and on this range the panel is the thing worth seeing.
